Devon's Weekly Teaching Schedule

Devon Sweeney is a bodywork artist, writer, and yogini based in Colorado. She is most highly influenced by her direct apprenticeship with her teacher, Shiva Rea, and teaches the pathway of Prana Vinyasa® yoga and it's Tantric philosophy.

Dedicated to the education of all beings in their quest towards unlocking the innate capacity to create healing  within themselves, Devon has spent the last eight years sharing her gifts as a yogic guide and movement teacher. Her teaching method is centered around serving the intelligent flow of movement and psychosomatic guidance of the macrocosm and challenging students to explore ways they can connect to their own experience of body wisdom and sustainable living. This multi-dimensional experience of life through the unified lens of a modern yogic practice is what inspires her students to expand their creative and diverse exploration of the world.

Devon's practices are a full yogic experience of integration between the mind and body, guided by the breath. Using intelligent postural sequences, guided breathwork from the perspective of a bodyworker, and creative soundscapes, she creates a unique yet intuitive practice experience. Devon is currently active in the Samudra Global School of Living Yoga, has over 1,000 hours of teaching experience at all levels, assists teacher trainings, and lives in Denver, Colorado. She offers weekly public classes at Samadhi Center for Yoga and Meditation, Kindness Yoga, and The Freyja Project. Teaching at a variety of festivals, events, and studio settings, Devon's unique ability to lead group practices with graceful clarity shines through. She has a degree in Eastern Religious studies and is a constant student of the changing paradigms of modern behavioral psychology, movement therapies, and neurological/physiological stress management techniques.

Devon holds over 500 hours of training through Samudra Global School of Living Yoga, is on the 1,008 Hour Professional Training Track with Shiva Rea, and is an Affiliate Teacher Trainer for the Samudra Global School of Living Yoga. She is also a Licensed Massage Therapist in Colorado with a specialization in Breathing Dysfunction and Diaphragmatic Restructuring.
